WordPress Stops Pinging – How To Fix It?

I started noticed this when I upload my client site Game Previews made under WordPress 2.9, don’t get me wrong the new update is fantastic and some of the new features are extremely useful to use, but, and this is a big but, after installing the Wordpress 2.9, every time I made a post or used a ping back or trackback my WordPress blog would not ping or send pingbacks to other sites!

But now after searching for the answer! why my client Wordpress got that trouble I found the answer to this site blazingminds.co.uk . He did a little tweak to the file "wp-includes/cron.php" And he did fixed the problem!

If you look at the original code for cron.php you will find the following code:

$cron_url = get_option( ’siteurl’ ) . ‘/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron’;
wp_remote_post( $cron_url, array(‘timeout’ => 0.01, ‘blocking’ => false, ’sslverify’ => apply_filters(‘https_local_ssl_verify’, true)) );

You will notice that he have made a bit bold! This is what you need to change, change this to 1 so now it should read:

$cron_url = get_option( ’siteurl’ ) . ‘/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron’;
wp_remote_post( $cron_url, array(‘timeout’ => 1, ‘blocking’ => false, ’sslverify’ => apply_filters(‘https_local_ssl_verify’, true)) );

Now you should find that you pings are now working again, hopefully, I checked mine via the Ping Optimizer plugin and the log on the plugin confirmed a ping status!

Please remember before using this tweak, back up your original “wp-includes/cron.php” file, just in case, you never know ;) Thanks to blazingminds.co.uk.

LG KM900

This LG KM900 is what I'm longing for to get and become my business and personal mobile phone wherever I go. LG KM900 is more likely with Iphone but not exactly the same. This is also have so many features that the user always look for a kind of mobile phone. But I think LG KM900 is the best mobile phone.

The LG KM900 is the pioneer of the new UI designed by the South Korean company, boldly named S-class. Promising fluidity never seen before and uncompromising looks and functionality, it is starting to take the world by storm. We doubt that it will be of a measure equal to the hurricane created by the iPhone's UI but the whole package might well surprise us.

Key features:

  • 3" 16M-color capacitive TFT touchscreen of WVGA resolution (480 x 800 pixels)
  • S-Class Touch UI
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
  • 3G with HSDPA (7.2 Mbps)
  • Wi-Fi and GPS receiver with A-GPS
  • 5 megapixel autofocus camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, LED flash, geotagging
  • D1 (720x480 pixels)@30fps, VGA@30fps, QVGA fast-motion video and QVGA slo-mo video
  • 8GB built-in storage
  • Hot-swappable microSD card slot
  • Standard 3.5mm audio jack and TV out
  • USB Mass Storage
  • Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
  • Accelerometer for screen auto rotate
  • Multi-touch input
  • 3D hardware accelerator
  • DivX and XviD support
  • Dolby for Mobile audio enhancement
  • FM radio with FM transmitter
  • Office document viewer
  • Smart dialing

Main disadvantages:

  • Poor sunlight legibility
  • Inadequate flash performance
  • No voice-guided GPS navigation software available
  • No standard USB port
  • Records video in 3GP file format
  • Maximum email attachment size is 1MB only (both ways)
  • Limited DivX/XviD video support

But mainly because the LG KM900 has none of the (absurd) limitations of the original iPhone - no proper Bluetooth functionality, no FM radio, lack of file manager and so on. Instead the Arena comes as a exceptionally well equipped phone with almost every feature in the book included. From 3G with HSDPA, through Wi-Fi and GPS to FM transmitter - the LG KM900 has it all.

With 4GB of storage, it now holds up to 1,000 songs,1 and lets you enjoy multiple playlists, too. The size is 1.8" tall x 0.3" thin to be exact.

Apple create the world's smallest music player that musically speaking, Yes it is. Ipod shuffle that can be navigate through voiceover feature, without taking your eyes off your run, your ride or whatever you're doing.

Also You can have multiple playlist probably made in iTunes. This is very essential when you want to have playlist when you are in the gym, in a chilling out moves or any mood you want for your playlist.

My Samsung E590

Hey guys Im so excited to announce to all of you my new mobile phone, its so nice and cute and the features, wow! amazingly great for me. The design wise, the Samsung E590 is stunningly different from pretty much everything you would expect in a modern mobile phone. Yet, its armory includes a high-quality TFT display and a decent 3 megapixel camera. Plus, it's delightfully minimalist and comes at a relatively low price. All in all, though not a seducer, the Samsung E590 is a downright square deal. You are more than welcome to take review of my the Samsung E590.

Like what my old mobile phone "nokia 3110", its only 1.3 megapixel likewise to my new Samsung E590. But although I have my new mobile phone, I considered nokia 3110c is also good and actually I give that to my older brother as I promise to him.

Back to samsung E590, This mobile phone is recommended to all specially to those who have a minimal budget for mobile phone. I bought this for only Php4,990 or let say $105 only.

Key features:

* 3 megapixel autofocus camera with a half-shutter key
* Tri-band GSM/GRPS/EDGE support
* Square 1.8" 262K color TFT display with 220x220 pixels resolution
* Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP)
* FM radio
* MS Office documents viewer
* microSD memory card slot
* microSD card in the retail package (512MB or 1GB varying by market)
* Really compact body and ascetic design
* Intriguing bean bag in the retail package

The design of E590 was entrusted to the Jasper Morrison studio, renowned for the clean shapes and simplicity of their designs. You can see the portfolio of the JM Office for Design at their web site.

Main disadvantages:

* Slow memory-card reading
* No TV out functionality
* Slow document viewer
* Java applications can be installed only through WAP
* Only preset message ringtones

The Samsung E590 is not a high-end, nor a fashion phone. Fair enough, many people will consider it when looking for a budget cameraphone. And you have our word, it is worthy of being called a cameraphone. But more on that is to come later.

Technology and Human

Our society today lived in the latest technology from laptops to mobiles, digital cameras to MP3
players and many more high tech gadget devices that illustrate the speculative time line of the
future technology and social change.

Internet is one that permeates our lives and begins radically reshaping the institutions, even as
a breakthrough in other fields of fundamental changes in living standards and all future human
endeavor.

Like what the picture express above, Personal virtual realities are taking marketshare from TV, radio, films, and other type of media communication।And sometimes leads to rampant identity theft and other cybercrimes lead to the first and most important privacy of the individual and even security issues being resolved.

"Once upon a time there was a novel. A novel so ambitious in scope it required a major research
project just to define its boundaries", the ultimate limits of technology and human potential।

Google Phone

And yes indeed, google phone has finally revealed to the public and this phone is look alike
iPhone of apple. inc. Google Inc. ambition is to make the Internet easy to use on the go.

T-Mobile USA showed off the G1, a phone that, like Apple Inc.'s iPhone, has a large touch screen. But it also packs a trackball, a slide-out keyboard and easy access to Google's e-mail
and mapping programs.

T-Mobile said it will begin selling the G1 for $179 with a two-year contract. The device hits
U.S. stores October 22 and heads to Britain in November and other European countries early next year.

The phone will be sold in T-Mobile stores only in the U.S. cities where the company has rolled
out its faster, third-generation wireless data network. By launch, that will be 21 cities,
including New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Miami.

Google company investing and targeting the mobile industries because many country as of now the primary gadget that they used is mobile phone. Especially here in the Philippines that almost
Filipino people have own cellphone even the younger one. So google think that they can used the
mobile phone for more advertising medium to be used and targeting the individual.

And Both Yahoo Inc. and Microsoft Corp. also are investing heavily in the mobile market in hopes of preventing Google from extending the dominance it enjoys in searches initiated on PCs.

In an interview, Google co-founder Sergey Brin said Google's aims are broader than mobile advertising.

Wii Portable

As you can see to my previous post, is about PS3 portable and now this post is about Wii.

Yes a Nitendo Wii goes portable, and he called it Wii Laptop. I don't know if he assemble it but my opinion to this is, we all know that nitendo wii is made up of wireless joysticks so we can play and at the same time do an exercise because we play that in a distance way and all of the games there are all about sports, correct me if I'm wrong. And I don't think if you can enjoy your gaming if you can only see a small monitor or an lcd and doing your move like he does.

hey guys! is only my opinion but I admit He is a good engineer to make that wii laptop, if he is.

PS3 Portable - Not Official -

We all know that this portable version of Sony Playstation 3 is not officially designed but thanks to this engineer for his brilliant mind to redesigned this very much awaited gaming devices not only for the youth but also for those young in heart who always want to have a leisure time.

And some say that Xbox 360 have been totally owned by this kind of designed. And I think some people out there hoping and wishing to have like that version of sony playstation 3. Hopefully!!

Electric Jeepney

Nowadays,Philippine economic system is one of the fastest-growing economies in southeast asia.
Producing newly industrialized emerging market economies of the world. Actually in 2007, Philippine was ranked as the 37th largest economy by the international monetary fund according to purchasing power parity.

In the Transportation sector of the Philippines. Mostly Philippine land transportation vehicles are imported, except for the JEEPNEY and tricycle which are locally made. Jeepney is the main
transportation vehicles in the country and because of the continues increased of price main source of vehicle oil. The Greenpeace group introduced the "Electric Jeepneys".

As you can see from my figure above, the looks of the electric jeepney is derive from the local
jeepney in the Philippine but not exactly the same. And the good news is, the electric jeepney passed the Land Transportation Office examination and will now go through the road with the orange color of car plate so that it will noticed that this vehicle is consuming electric energy.

New Playstation 3 SLIM

Well, everybody wanted to have Sony Play Station 3 and of course I'm one of those who dreaming to have that playing gadgets.

According to a particularly well-informed insider, it seems that the Big S is prepping an all new PlayStation 3. The new incarnation is supposedly slimmer, lighter weight, and sexy as hell.

It's not as if Sony haven't got a history of making things slimmer and, er, lighter: The PSP shed a lot of its weight last summer, the original PlayStation ended up as the minuscule PSOne, and the PlayStation 2 re-incarnated as the PSTwo,

Specs-wise, we're probably looking at the same machine with stacks of space and the trusty Blu-Ray player on board. The new PS3 is a proper looker: if it's anything like the illustration our team of designers have come up with, then we're looking at one hell of a sexy piece of kit.

Like what picture display above, you'll see the slim type of PS3 with a lot better in full, glorious, glossy high-definition display on a pesky screen.

Kohler C3 Series

Kohler C3 Series Toilet Seats Offer Hands-Free Butt-Washing, and its made in the US, an American Style. This toilet seats with bidet functionality, which use the naturally soothing quality of water as a refreshing, hygenic alternative to toilet tissue, and offer cleanliness, comfort and convenience for all users.

A bidet functionality which is a basin for washing genitals and anal area, is it beautiful? Well, Although a precursor to the modern flush toilet system was designed in 1596 by Sir john harington, the toilet did not enter into widespread use until the late nineteenth century, when it was adopted in English upper residences.

And now, as you can see to the picture, a toilet with a remote control primarily intended to sets the temperature of the seat and also activates a gentle cleansing process with a wand that extends from the back of the rim and sprays water upward, followed by an air dryer. Wow! now who needs a paper? Well as much as I know this toilet is the range of $5,000 dollar.

I guess, this kind of technology is not fit for my needs and I think its better to do it all by myself rather than to do the task in this kind of technology in a certain way.

Google AdWords

AdWords! AdWords! AWords, from the word "ads" and "word", that combine to make a unique
differences in the cyber world of WEB 2.0.

This Google AdWOrds used for advertising your products, services, website, or even your personal information, online and no matter what your budget, you can display your ads on Google and you can pay it later on if people click your ads.

For me as a publisher and blogger, I used the google adsense and put it in my blogs site, where
the link used by the google adsense came from Google AdWords that you decided to advertise.
And so with that many people can view your ads and they would know about what you want to ads.

Nowadays, many big online company used AdWOrds for their business and I think they satisfied and very happy because they can track their status of how many people would it know about their public information for the assurance benifit of their company.
