We can't blame ourselves because its our nature as a human instinct whether we like it or not. And as my observation, We do likely surprise when we heared or sees something new, especially if you got the information firsthand.
We feel uplifted emotionally especially with pride and nothing compare of excitement when you go through personally.
Actually, What I'm trying to point out here is, Its better to be aware to your environment than to have non-sense living. Because like in the bible verse matthew 4:4 said "Man does not live on bread alone"
